Turkish military jets strike PKK targets in N. Iraq December 27, 2012 - 13:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkish military jets have struck several outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) bases in simultaneous cross-border raids in northern Iraq, Today’s Zaman reports. Eight F-16 fighter jets, which took off from Diyarbakır Airbase, launched overnight strikes on PKK targets in the Kandil and Zap regions as well as anti-aircraft bases in northern Iraq. No casualties were reported. The jets safely returned to their bases after completing their mission.   Top stories Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive. In 2023, the Azerbaijani government will increase the country’s defense budget by more than 1.1 billion manats ($650 million). The bill, published on Monday, is designed to "eliminate the shortcomings of an unreasonably broad interpretation of the key concept of "compatriot".
