UN rep. says ‘time has come’ to refer Syria crimes to ICC![]() February 18, 2013 - 16:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - UN human rights investigator Carla del Ponte said on Monday, Feb 18, the "time has come" for the Security Council to refer war crimes in Syria to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for prosecution, Reuters reported. "We follow the chain of command to establish the responsibility of high political and military suspects for the commission of crimes," she told a news briefing as the team released their latest report. "I think it is urgent that the ICC takes up this case of very high officials." Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
