Peres calls on EU to list Hezbollah as terrorist organization

PanARMENIAN.Net - Israeli President Shimon Peres called on the EU on Thursday, Feb 21 to list Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.

The president was speaking in Tel Hai in a speech commemorating Zionist activist Joseph Trumpeldor.

"Now, after it was proven that Hezbollah committed the terror attack in Bulgaria on European soil and murdered innocent civilians, it is time for the world, and mainly the European Union, to list Hezbollah as a terror organization," the president said.

Peres said Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah smears Lebanon's reputation with his crimes. "Lebanon needs to decide where it is heading - whether to peace or to fire," he added.
