Azerbaijani-Russian relations deteriorating

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ilham Ragimov, the friend of Russian leader Vladimir Putin was banned from social and political activity in Azerbaijan, Azadliq reported.

This is the reason for his recent media silence, preceded by Ragimov’s interviews on social and political life of the country, which made him to be viewed not only as a businessman but also as a political figure.

According to some reports, deterioration of ties between Russia and Azerbaijan is behind the ban, with Ragimov’s involvement in the country’s public life capable of negatively affecting the situation in Azerbaijan.

Ragimov’s dismissal from the Supreme Attestation Commission in 9 days after the appointment is also linked to the fact above, reports say.
