Armenia posts 28,2% drop in exportApril 19, 2013 - 16:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s foreign trade turnover totaled $445 mln (AMD 184.1 bln) in March 2013 decreasing by 15,3% compared to the same period in 2012, according to updated statistical data. Export amounted to $116.6 mln (AMD 48.3 bln) in March 2013, dropping by 28,2%. The export index totaled $357.9 mln (AMD 146,5 bln) in Jan-Mar 2013, with 3% growth reported. A 9,6% decrease was recorded in import bringing it to $328.4 mln (AMD 135.8 bln,) the RA National Statistical Service reported. The negative balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to $616.4 mln (AMD 251.9 bln) in January-March 2013, as compared with the same period in 2012.
