Iranian Foreign Minister pays surprise visit to Syria![]() May 7, 2013 - 20:38 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - An Iranian delegation led by Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi unexpectedly arrived in Syria after concluding a visit to Jordan, the state-run IRNA reported. Upon arrival, Salehi was welcomed by his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Moualem and a number of other officials. When in Jordan, Salehi met with King Abdullah II, Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh to discuss ‘issues of mutual interest.’ In Syria, Salehi is scheduled to meet with President Bashar al-Assad. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit.
