University of Rome Tor Vergata to build children’s hospital in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Healthcare Minister Derenik Dumanyan met today, on May 13 with a delegation led by the rector of University of Rome Tor Vergata Renato Lauro, currently in Yerevan for charity purposes.

“Armenia government attaches special significance to the programs targeting children’s health,” Minister Dumanyan said, noting construction of a children’s medical center as the delegation’s mission in Armenia.

Prof. Lauro, in turn, noted that the idea was born during the meetings with RA former ambassador to Italy Ruben Karapetyan, with a number of agreements later signed.

The delegation representatives hailed the professionalism and the vast capacities of Armenian specialists.

The guests further voiced confidence that the program will unveil new cooperation prospects, voicing readiness to cooperate in the bone marrow transplantation and pharmaceutical industry.
