Armenian lawyers to stage protest against court of cassation![]() May 25, 2013 - 17:53 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - About 50 Armenian lawyers plan to stage protest against court of cassation. According to lawyer Hayk Alumyan, the judicial strike is aimed against the principle of the court of cassation to have the case undergo legal procedure and further reject. “Court of cassation decides on its own to have the case undergo legal procedure or not, without giving explanations as to the reasons why the cases were sent back,” he said. Moreover, the court of cassation sends back the complaints on the basis of incorrect wording. However, up until now the court has failed to present figures helping the lawyers take the case to the court. On June 11, 2012, about 550 lawyers staged protest against the willfulness in investigations of cases. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
