Minister Harutyunyan attached importance to Armenian-German relations, with cooperation in the field of environmental protection further discussed.

Ambassador Morell, in turn, highly assessed collaboration with Armenia in the field of nature protection. Minister Harutyunyan briefed the envoy on the course of the implementation of the neutralization program of Nubarashen landfill site of toxic chemicals, with a working group set up for the purpose.

“Two options for the program are currently discussed. Either the neutralization must be carried out in Armenia or the toxic chemicals must be exported to a country with an appropriate neutralization capacity,” Minister Harutyunyan said.

Upon completion of the program, an agreement was reached to intensify cooperation in the field of nature protection.
