Artsakh celebrates Martakert liberation 20th anniversaryJune 28, 2013 - 18:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) Republic President Bako Sahakyan visited Martakert regional center to attend festive event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Martakert liberation. In his speech President Sahakyan noted that the liberation of Martakert “is a big holiday for the entire nation, and it became a reality due to the best sons of the Armenian people, whose feat would serve as an example for the generations to come.” The President awarded the “For Service in Battle” medal to a group of freedom fighters for personal bravery shown in battles. NKR officials, guests from Armenia and abroad also participated in the event, reported the Central Information Department at the Artsakh President’s Office.
