Spokesman: Baku always favored idea of Armenian-Azeri meetings![]() July 20, 2013 - 14:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Baku has always favored meetings with Armenian side, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Elman Abdullayev said. “Armenian-Azerbaijani meetings can promote improvement of relations between the parties. Azerbaijan always favored such suggestions,” Abdullayev said, commenting on a French initiative to organize a meeting between representatives of the two countries’ NGOs in the framework of Karabakh settlement. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
