Leading Muslim Brotherhood figure arrested in Egypt

PanARMENIAN.Net - Leading Muslim Brotherhood figure Mohammed al-Beltagi has been arrested, BBC News said citing Egyptian state media.

Beltagi, secretary-general of the Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), is accused of inciting violence, Channel One TV said.

Prosecutors had ordered his arrest on 10 July, and later said his financial assets should be frozen.

Much of the criticism of the Brotherhood in Egypt's media has focused on Beltagi.
