30 suspected militants killed in Russia’s North Caucasus in Nov![]() December 3, 2013 - 10:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian law enforcement officers killed 30 suspected militants and detained 50 in the North Caucasus last month, the region’s police authority said Monday, December 2, RIA Novosti reported. The Interior Ministry’s main directorate in the North Caucasus Military District said in a statement that six people among those killed were identified as militant group leaders. “More than five kilograms of explosives and almost 20,000 pieces of ammunition have been seized,” the statement reads. A total of 24 crimes that the ministry believes were related to terrorism were recorded in the region last month, including four explosions. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit.
