At least 8 killed in string of Baghdad bombings![]() March 15, 2014 - 11:04 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Iraqi officials say a string of bombings has targeted marketplaces and a commercial area in the capital, Baghdad, killing at least eight people and wounding 26, the Associated Press reported. Police officials say the deadliest attack took place inside a market in the Shula district in northwestern Baghdad where a bomb went off on Friday, March 14 morning, killing five people and wounding 16. The officials say a bombing at a wholesale vegetable market in southern Baghdad killed one person and wounded three. Later on, a bomb exploded in a commercial area in the northern suburb of Taji, killing two people and wounding seven. Medical officials confirmed the casualty figures. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to talk to media.
