President: Armenian army stronger than ever, Karabakh stance unequivocalMarch 22, 2014 - 17:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President Serzh Sargsyan met with the Foreign Ministry leadership on March 21, with the latters reporting on the Ministry’s activities in progress, results achieved, and oncoming projects. At the meeting, the Armenian President stressed the importance of achieving tangible results in the sectors of foreign policy and security. He further hailed the level of safety Armenia achieved over the last 5 years due to its foreign policy line and assistance of its allies. "Our army is better equipped and has the strongest military capacity than ever, with the issue of Karabakh at its most unequivocal,” the President said, stressing transparency as valuable quality in Armenia’s policy line. As the National Security Council Secretary Artur Baghdasaryan earlier stated at an international conference in Yerevan, a meeting between Armenian and Azeri Presidents might take place in late March. He further reiterated Armenia’s support for peaceful settlement of the Karabakh issue, slamming Baku’s non-constructive approach and anti-Armenian propaganda, RBK reported. On March 19. the U.S. Co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group commented on the oncoming meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents and Foreign Ministers. The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia will meet at The Hague, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov told journalists on March 18, Trend News reported. The meeting will be held on the sidelines of the Netherlands-hosted Nuclear Security Summit due March 24-25, the official said, adding that the co-Chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group will visit the region in April.
