Suicide bombing kills at least 7 in Baghdad

PanARMENIAN.Net - A suicide bomber has rammed a car packed with explosives into a checkpoint in southern Baghdad, killing at least seven people, including four policemen, the Associated Press reports.

A police official said the attack took place Saturday, July 19 morning in the Shiite neighborhood of Abu Dashir, and that another 16 people were wounded in the blast.

A medical official confirmed the casualty figures. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief the media.
