Govt. allocates AMD 1.5B to help solve Gyumri housing problem

PanARMENIAN.Net - The government of Armenia allocated AMD 1.5 billion to Shirak regional administration to address the housing problems, Panorama.am reported.

As Urban Development Minister Narek Sargsyan told reporters after the cabinet meeting Thursday, Oct 2, the government decided to issue housing certificates to 215 families. 450 families in Gyumri are still homeless.

“We have held discussions with the Prime Minister, and plan to completely resolve housing problems in the disaster zone within the coming two years,” said the Minister.
