Canada to take part in air strikes against Islamic State in Mideast

PanARMENIAN.Net - Canada will take part in U.S.-led air strikes against Islamic State militants in the Middle East for up to six months, Ottawa said on Friday, Oct 3, according to Reuters.

A government statement said Canada would contribute military assets "including air strike capability" but would not deploy troops in ground combat operations.
