8 killed in Romanian military helicopter crash

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Romanian defense ministry said a helicopter on a training mission has crashed in central Romania, killing eight military personnel and injuring two others.

According to the Associated Press, the ministry said that the IAR-330 crashed Friday, Nov 21 morning in the locality of Malancrav, some 350 kilometers (220 miles) northwest of Bucharest.

Defense Minister Mircea Dusa and prosecutors were headed to the site, which is hard to reach. The ministry said it would not identify the dead until families had been notified.
