Azeri troops violate ceasefire, use 107mm rocket launcher

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani armed forces continuously violated the ceasefire at the line of contact with Nagorno Karabakh on Monday, August 31 and the following night.

According to NKR Defense Army, 120 ceasefire violations by Azeri armed forces were registered in the reporting period, with over 1200 shots fired from various caliber weapons, including 60-, 82- and 120 mm mortars, RPG-7, HAN-17 grenade launchers, as well as 1 shell from a Turkish TP-107 rocket launcher.

The Armenian armed forces continue controlling the situation at contact line and take retaliatory measures, silencing the attacks.

The situation at the line of contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan is under control, with the Armenian army fulfilling its duties in the best possible way, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan told reporters Tuesday, September 1.

According to him, the number of shots fired by Azeri armed forces keeps changing every day. “We, of course, follow the rival’s action and take retaliatory measures if necessary. Earlier, Azeri subversive groups made several border penetration attempts, which were successfully prevented,” Ohanyan said.
