U.S. Capitol to host luncheon honoring Armenian President

PanARMENIAN.Net - A luncheon in honor of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will take place September 30, 2015 at the Capitol Visitor Center, Washington DC.

Robert M. Morgenthau, grandson of Ambassador Henry Morgenthau, Sr., who served in the Ottoman Empire in 1915, will be a special guest at the event.

The luncheon is organized along with U.S. Representatives Ed Royce, Robert Dold, Frank Pallone, Anna Eshoo, and Senator Mark Kirk, with the support of the International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation (IRWF).

The program will include an address from Pres. Sargsyan, and the IRWF will posthumously bestow the Raoul Wallenberg medal to Henry Morgenthau Sr. into the hands of his grandson Robert.
