Armenia submits Syrian refugee host countries support proposal at NATOOctober 19, 2015 - 14:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's parliamentary delegation submitted proposals concerning separate resolutions adopted at NATO Parliamentary Assembly's annual session on October 9-12 in Norwegian Stavanger, Panorama.am reports. According to the head of the Armenian delegation Koryun Nahapetyan, all proposals envisaged support to the countries that have hosted Syrian refugees. “Armenia alone has accepted some 17.000 refugees,” Nahapetyan said. “Without naming certain countries, we have submitted the proposal, which was accepted at once.” The Azerbaijani delegation behaved as usual at the PA Political affairs committee session, Nahapetyan said. “Their delegation presented traditional Azerbaijani formulations and nothing new concerning the Karabakh conflict. It is noteworthy that the Chairperson disrupted the Azeri delegate for deviating from the agenda: everyone seemed to be tired of one-track statements,” the head of the Armenian delegation said. Overall, Nahapetyan said, the work of NATO Parliamentary Assembly "was favorable" for Armenia. Top stories Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
