Karabakh refutes Azeri claims of subversive attack

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani claims of Armenia having initiated a subversive attack are just a propaganda gimmick; they’re completely false, the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army says.

Azerbaijani Defense Ministry issued a statement, suggesting that special units of the Armenian Armed Forces have attempted to attack the Azeri positions. According to the report, the Armenian side had suffered 5-7 losses.

The situation has considerably escalated on the line of contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan on the night of February 11-12, Karabakh Defense Army says.

Azerbaijani armed forces fired over 4500 shots from various caliber weapons, including 60-mm mortars, RPG-7, AGS-9 and AGS-17 grenade launchers in ceasefire violations in the reporting period.

Karabakh’s troops took retaliatory measures to continue controlling the situation on the contact line.
