PanARMENIAN.Net - Iran’s navy will conduct joint short term maneuvers with Indian navy before expanding tactical cooperation, Iranian Navy Commander Habibollah Sayyari told reporters, according to Mehr news agency.

The 38th flotilla of the Iranian Navy is currently in Tanzanian waters and intends to dock at the port city of Dar es Salaam in the next couple of days, Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari told the reporters on the sidelines of his meeting with an Indian Navy delegation on Thursday, February 25 in Tehran.

We can boost our combat capability to the stage that no threat would be out of our control, noted the Iranian commander.

Also, Sayyari told the press that there would be a great deal of cooperation between Iranian and Indian Navies, and maintaining security in the northern waters of the Indian Ocean is one of them.

An Indian flotilla will berth in Iran’s port city of Bandar Abbas in late April or early May, the Iranian commander said.
