73 killed as rebels capture village near Aleppo May 6, 2016 - 10:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Friday, May 6 reported that insurgent groups captured a strategically important village from government forces in fierce fighting south of Aleppo that killed 73 people, Reuters reports. The insurgents, including the al Qaeda-linked Nusra Front, on Thursday launched an attack on government forces at the village of Khan Touman, which is important because of its location near the Damascus-Aleppo highway.  Top stories Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive. In 2023, the Azerbaijani government will increase the country’s defense budget by more than 1.1 billion manats ($650 million). The bill, published on Monday, is designed to "eliminate the shortcomings of an unreasonably broad interpretation of the key concept of "compatriot". The earthquake caused a temporary blackout, damaged many buildings and closed a number of rural roads.
