Etchmiadzin obtains rare 17th century church calendar

PanARMENIAN.Net - Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has obtained a handwritten Tonatsuyts (church calendar), compiled in 1625, Shoghakat TV said.

The manuscript with a silver cover is one of the best examples of Armenian jewelry and represents the Caesarea school.

“We are glad that devout believers understand that their family relics should be transferred to the Church, where they will be open to the public,” the Director of the Museums of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Ter Asoghik Karapetyan said.
