Karabakh President wants focus on hydro power productionJuly 25, 2016 - 13:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Nagorno Karabakh President Bako Sahakyan said on Monday, July 25 that utilization of hydro resources of Kashatagh region is strategically important for the socioeconomic development of the country. Visiting the region and getting acquainted with the construction of hydropower stations on the Hagari and Aghavno rivers, Sahakyan said Karabakh will further keep the sphere in focus. Afterwards, Sahakyan convened in the village of Tsitsernavank a consultation with representatives of the regional administration and heads of the region's northern communities to discuss alarming issues and development prospects. Special attention was paid to the resettlement issues and the harvest process. Head of the Kashatagh regional administration Suren Khachatryan delivered a report. President Sahakyan gave concrete instructions for proper solution of the issues discussed at the meeting. Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan and other officials were accompanying the President.
