According to research by the Russian Centre for the Study of Federal and Regional Alcohol Markets, Armenia accounted for at least 50% of the brandy imported to Russia in 2010-2014. “In the first half of 2016, Armenia shipped 3 million liters of brandy to Russia, making up some 40% of import volumes,” the general manager of the Center, Vadim Drobzin said. The Center also said that the Georgian brandy import doubled in the reporting period, totaling 1.1 million liters.
