Armenia supports Alexander Ceferin for UEFA presidency

PanARMENIAN.Net - Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) announced on Monday, September 12 that it will support Alexander Ceferin’s candidacy in the upcoming UEFA presidential elections.

“Appreciating the importance of Alexander Ceferin’s program for the development of football, the Federation announces its support for his candidacy in the upcoming UEFA presidential elections and in implementation of his action plan provisions in the event of his election as the UEFA president,” the FFA said.

European football nations gather in Athens on Wednesday to elect a new UEFA president to replace Michel Platini, who is currently banned from all football-related activity for four years.

The election is a race between Dutchman Michael van Praag and Slovenian Ceferin who have both promised to initiate major changes.
