New ministers appointed as Armenia moves to form new government

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday, September 20 moved to form a new government by naming several new ministers in a cabinet reshuffle following the resignation of former PM Hovik Abrahamyan and the appointment of Karen Karapetyan as the new premier.

The General Manager of Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant, Ashot Manukyan, was appointed Armenia's new Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.

Chief Operating Officer of the Yerevan Brandy Company Ignati Arakelyan was named the country's new Minister of Agriculture, replacing Sergo Karapetyan.

Vahan Martirosyan took over the post of Transport and Communication Minister from Gagik Beglaryan, while first Deputy Head of the presidential administration Vardan Aramyan was appointed the Minister of Finance.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for International Economic Integration and Reforms Vache Gabrielyan retained his post, as did Minister-Chief of Armenian Government Staff Davit Harutyunyan.

By another decision, Armenia's ambassador to Argentina Aleksan Harutyunyan was appointed the first Deputy Head of the presidential administration.
