ASEAN interested in cooperation with Eurasian Economic UnionNovember 1, 2016 - 16:30 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Tuesday, November 1 met withLe Luong Minh, the Secretary-General of the Association for Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to discuss the organization's possible cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). At the meeting in Jakarta, Indonesia, the two dwelled upon the possibilities of developing Armenia’s cooperation both with the ASEAN, and its member countries. The Secretary-General briefed Nalbandian on the integration processes within the ASEAN, the ongoing projects, outcomes of deepening of economic collaboration since the establishment of the Association, as well as the Organization’s perspectives. Besides, the meeting focused on the possibility of cooperation between the EEU and the ASEAN. The Secretary said that the ASEAN is interested in such a cooperation and certain steps are being taken both by member countries and the Association itself.
