Baku may buy shares of Georgia's GOGC that delivers gas to Armenia![]() November 29, 2016 - 11:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR is ready to consider obtaining shares of the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC), if the sale is officially announced, Trend cited a SOCAR source as saying. GOGC is the operator of the North-South pipeline, via which Russian gas is delivered to Georgia and Armenia. Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili told a parliament meeting earlier that the legislative body is ready to sell 25 percent of each of the assets of the state-owned companies – Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation and Georgian Railways. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
