Forbes: Eight Armenians included in Russia's rich list

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Russian edition of Forbes on Wednesday, April 20 published the 14th rating of the 200 richest entrepreneurs of the Russian Federation, which included six businessmen of Armenian origin.

The majority shareholder and general director of Magnit retail chain Sergey Galitsky (Harutyunyan - Ed.) is ranked the 18th. His fortune is estimated at $ 6.8 billion.

The president and founder of Tashir group of companies Samvel Karapetyan is placed the 32nd ($3.4 billion).

The 48th spot of the rating was taken by the president of Rosgosstrakh Danil Khachaturov ($2 billion).

One of the pioneers of Russian social entrepreneurship, investment banker and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan comes in the 99th ($ 950 million).

Head of the supervisory board of the Wooden Fish Agency, Albert Avdolyan takes the 123th spot ($800 million).

The head of RESO-Garantia company Sergey Sarkisov ($700 million) took the 147th spot, while his brother Nikola Sarkisov was ranked the 146th ($700 million).

The owner of Badoo dating site, investor Andrey Andreev (Ogandjanyants) is in the 185th position ($ 500 million).

Meanwhile, Leonid Mikhelson, co-owner of Russian gas producer Novatek, tops the rich list for a second year running with an estimated wealth of $18.4 billion.

The collective wealth of the 200 richest Russian businessmen increased to $460 billion, up $100 billion in a year. The number of dollar billionaires also jumped -- to 96 from 77.
