Game of Thrones season 8 could show Daenerys’ tragic downfall

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Game of Thrones" season eight will hit television screens in a matter of months and ahead of its return, Daenerys Targaryen’s tragic downfall may have been just been revealed.

Fans are excited to find out who will be sitting on the Iron Throne in the final run of the HBO series.

And while Daenerys (played by Emilia Clarke) has always been determined to take control of Westeros, fans have pointed out a huge flaw with her plan.

Viewers have noted Daenerys wants a Targaryen back on the throne however, she believes she is infertile so would not be able to produce an heir.

As a result, she would be the last of her name to take control of Westeros.

Reddit user mimi0108 explained: “She knows she's the last of her house and can not have a child.

“Yet, she declares war, invades Westeros with foreign armies (and dragons who will live long after her death) and declares herself queen while she will not be able to continue her lineage and her vision of the world.”

While Daenerys will not discuss not being able to produce an heir, she is still intent on causing trouble.

Furthermore, she does not seem to have considered she could die during her war against Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and now, the Night King (Vladimir Furdik) and his army of the dead.

“She is at war and anything can happen,” the fan continued.

“If she dies, everyone who follows and relies on her will end up with nothing.

“Not to appoint a successor or even to start talking about it is selfish.”

The fan added if Daenerys was to die, she would leave behind her two dragons Drogon and Rhaegal.

No one other than Daenerys appears to be able to control the dragons so they would be left to cause destruction.

It comes after another fan insisted Daenerys could never sit on the Iron Throne.

They referenced a conversation between Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance) and Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson).

Writing on Reddit, they explained: “Way back when Tywin and Joffrey were alive, this quote always stuck out to me and has served as an indicator to see who would be the true king in the end. Tywin said to Joffrey: Any man who must say ‘I am the king’ is no true king.”

Daenerys has claimed many times she is the rightful ruler of Westeros.

Could this be revealed to be a big setback for the Mother of Dragons in the final series?

Her lover Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and enemy Cersei have also made similar claims.
