Trump says American troops could return to Syria if need be

PanARMENIAN.Net - U.S. President Donald Trump told CBS News on Sunday, February 3 that he has not ruled out returning his nation’s armed forces to Syria if they are needed.

“We have very fast airplanes, we have very good cargo planes. We can come back very quickly,” he said in remarks taped Friday but aired ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl.

Trump’s comments come just weeks after he announced on Twitter that the U.S. Armed Forces had nearly completed its task in Syria and were preparing to withdraw from the country.

Despite heavy pushback from some White House officials and U.S. congressmen, Trump has stuck to his pledge regarding the withdrawal of American forces from Syria.
