Azerbaijan makes infiltration attempts in Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - As of Tuesday, October 27 evening, the situation in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) is stable but tense, with the Azerbaijanis targeting the upper subregions of Askeran – the villages of Avetaranots, Madatashen, Sghnakh and Moshkhmhat, Armenpress cited Hunan Tadevosyan from the State Service of Emergency Situations of Artsakh as saying.

"The situation in the republic is stable but tense at the moment. Tensions remain in the upper subregions of Askeran due to infiltration attempts of the Azerbaijani subversive groups. Artillery units from both sides are working," Tadevosyan said.

Tadevosyan said the air raid siren activated in Martuni during the day after a drone was spotted in the sky above the town. Furthermore, he sad, bombing in the village of Nngi left three women injured.

According to Hunan Tadevosyan, the situation in Artsakh's capital Stepanakert was relatively calm throughout the day.

Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and Syrian and Libyan mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. Foreign and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages.
