Yerevan moves closer to new metro station

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Metrogiprotrans Valery Abramson have signed a contract for the design of a new metro station in the Ajapnyak district of the Armenian capital.

During a meeting in Yerevan on Saturday, June 18, Sargsyan said the development of the metro is of special importance within reforms in the city's transport system.

The Yerevan City Council had earlier approved AMD 554 million for the design of a new metro station in the city.
