Pashinyan wants no political ambitions in EAEU economic principles

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan believes there should be no political ambitions in the economic principles of the EAEU.

In an interview to the Kazakh newspapers Egemen Qazaqstan, Pashinyan said the EAEU is an economic association, without any political and, especially, geopolitical agenda.

“The Armenian and Kazakh sides largely share this approach, and are developing interaction within the economic association in this vein,” Pashinyan said.

“We continue to develop interaction within the economic cooperation, striving to suppress all attempts to politicize the EAEU. The EAEU and its economic principles should not correlate with political ambitions,” Pashinyan said.

According to him, basic freedoms of trade and integration cannot and should not be limited due to political considerations, “which will lead to the corrosion of the fundamental principles of unification.”
