First symbolic shipment of Armenian apricots reaches EU

PanARMENIAN.Net - The first symbolic shipment of Armenian apricots has arrived in the European Union, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos wrote on X, commenting on her meeting with Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan.

“Thank you to Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan for the gift and for a very good discussion. We met ahead of the launch of the Connectivity Agenda Platform, where we will continue our work to connect Armenia more closely with its neighbors and with Europe,” Kos wrote.

She added that the move would help diversify export destinations for Armenian producers and create opportunities to bring high-quality Armenian products to new markets.

According to the Armenian government’s press service, Khudatyan discussed projects being implemented in the transport and energy sectors during his meeting with Marta Kos in Brussels.

The statement noted that Khudatyan emphasized Armenia’s readiness to further deepen cooperation in transport, energy and digital connectivity, as well as in the implementation of inclusive connectivity initiatives.

Earlier, it was reported that the European Commission had allocated €34 million to Armenia to help mitigate the impact of trade restrictions imposed by Russia on the country’s private sector.
