David Gevorgyan appointed Araratcement manager![]() July 30, 2026 - 19:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - David Gevorgyan has been appointed manager of Araratcement CJSC, Armenia's Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan announced on his Facebook page. The minister published the corresponding appointment order. Under a ruling by the Anti-Corruption Court, issued following a motion by the Prosecutor General's Office, Araratcement CJSC was placed under the administration of the Republic of Armenia, represented by the Ministry of Economy. On June 8, 2018, David Gevorgyan was appointed Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Development. He later served as Governor of Aragatsotn Province from 2018 to 2021. On November 29, 2022, he was appointed an assistant to the Prime Minister. Beginning in the early hours of July 6, officers of Armenia's National Security Service, the State Revenue Committee, and the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out simultaneous searches at more than 70 locations, including the residence of Gagik Tsarukyan and companies affiliated with him. Tsarukyan was detained. Early on July 7, the Court of General Jurisdiction of the Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts began considering his pretrial measure. By the end of the day, it became known that he had been placed in pretrial detention for two months.
