AYF to host “Cycle Against Denial” bike-a-thonApril 21, 2010 - 12:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Youth Federation hosts a 14-mile bike-a-thon in San Fernando Valley to educate people about the cycle of genocide. The Armenian Youth Federation – San Fernando Valley “Sardarabad” Chapter will host its second annual “Cycle Against Denial”, which attracts over 250 community members from across California. “The bike-a-thon represents the continuous cycle of genocide,” explained Palig Demirjian, Chairperson of the Cycle Against Genocide Committee. “With the Darfur Genocide now in its eighth year, the United State needs to assert its leadership role in promoting human rights and stand strong against genocide,” she added. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
