  Georgetta Avakian: Meretz will continue lobbying for Armenia’s interestsJanuary 17, 2011 - 13:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Although Haim Oron, the supporter of Armenian issues in the Knesset, will be replaced by another Meretz MP, Zahava Gal-On, in March, the party will continue lobbying for Armenia’s interests, once again putting the bill on Israel’s recognition of Armenian Genocide to discussion, according to Georgetta Avakian, head of Hay Dat Jerusalem Office. As she stated in a conversation with PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, “Hay Dat maintains constant contact with party leaders, hoping for the Armenian Genocide bill to be put up to vote in 2-3 years time.
