Azerbaijan ignores OSCE Minsk Group efforts

PanARMENIAN.Net - Motherland parliamentary group of the NKR National Assembly stated that an OSCE field assessment mission should be conducted at those regions of Nagorno Karabakh, which are controlled by the occupation troops of Azerbaijan.

According to the statement, Free Motherland party does not agree with all wordings of the report of the OSCE Minsk Group field assessment mission conducted on October 7-12, 2010.

“Any initiative of the mediators should be implemented with consideration of interests of all parties to the conflict.

From this perspective, we think there is need to conduct a field mission also at those parts of Martuni, Mardakert and Shahumyan regions of Nagorno Karabakh, which are currently controlled by the occupation troops of Azerbaijan,” the statement reads.

It goes on saying: “We regret that continuous efforts of the Presidents of the OSCE Minsk Group’s Co-Chair countries for the Karabakh conflict peace resolution are permanently ignored by the Azerbaijani authorities, while this fact has not been politically assed by the Co-Chairmen up to date. This is proved also by violation of short-term agreements reached in Sochi by Azerbaijan. And the recent statement by the Azerbaijani authorities concerning civil aviation is beyond political and humanitarian logics.”
