Draft law on Armenian Genocide recognition drawn up in Italy

PanARMENIAN.Net - Italian parliament hosted the presentation of the book Diaries authored by the last U.S. Ambassador to Ottoman Empire Henry Morgenthau, translated into Italian.

The head of Italy-Armenia parliamentary friendship group stressed the importance of the Genocide-related event organized in the parliament for the first time.

“We drew up a draft law on Italy’s recognition of the Armenian Genocide which will soon be submitted to the parliament,’ she said.

Also, a proposal to announce April 24 as the Armenian Genocide Victims Commemoration Day in Italy was submitted to Italian parliament ad Senate.
