Azerbaijan irritated at Turkish Foreign Minister singing Armenian songMay 23, 2011 - 10:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was a guest at Şеffaf Oda program aired by Kanal D on Sunday, May 22. The program started with performance of Ayrilik Turkish song, after what the presenter who spoke about friendship between nation offered the participants to sing Sari Gelin Armenian song. Azerbaijani media said Davutoglu sang it together with the other participants and accused him of “disregard of Azerbaijani culture.” Over the past 20 years, Azerbaijan describes the song as its own, although it’s worldwide known as Armenian and translated as Bride from Mountains. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
