Erdogan rejects TV debates with opposition![]() May 24, 2011 - 18:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıcdaroglu has called on Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to join him in a debate on television, bringing the example of European countries. “I am ready to offer rebuff to the Prime Minister at any time and at any TV station chosen by him,” said Kılıcdaroglu. Meanwhile, Erdogan said he does not want to participate in debates with the opposition leader, Vatan paper reported. As part of his election campaign, Kılıcdaroglu has arrived in Ardahan. “The Prime Minister rejects television debates with me. If he lacks courage for participating in television debates, I invite him to Ardahan. But he will not do it – either on television or at squares,” said Kilicdaroglu. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
