Deposit exploitation result in greater number of children with autism in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deposit exploitation result in greater number of children with autism in Armenia, an ecologist said.

“Doctors have numerously warned that existence of heavy metals in food and water can cause autism,” Karine Danielyan told a news conference in Yerevan. “The situation is specifically serious in Syunik province.”

Besides, according to her, exploitation of deposits prevents development of tourism in the country. “Armenia is attractive for tourists but polluted environment is a stumbling factor,” she said.
