Astana to host CIS Foreign Ministers’ next meeting in April 2012![]() September 3, 2011 - 11:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A meeting between Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) took place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on September 2. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov admitted drawbacks but called in his counterparts to see the positive sides of the post-soviet union. “CIS is no an ideal structure but it was created for the welfare of our peoples,” he said. The next ministerial meeting will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan, in April 2012. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
