Azerbaijan’s deputy threatens Iran to lose trust of the AzeriSeptember 15, 2011 - 18:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Iran’s recent zeal particularly in anti-Azerbaijan rhetoric by some leaders, is mainly connected with USA’s plans regarding Tehran. “Iran treats practically all its neighbors with distrust, thus manages to prevent Azerbaijan’s participation in projects with the West,” Fazil Gazanfaroglu, Chairman of Great establishment Party said. “In fact, such policy harms Iran itself, with Tehran losing trust. Iran’s aggressive policy towards Azerbaijan instigates problems for Iran in the first place, because so far Baku has not announced its commitment to this or that side and has always adhered to policy of neighbourliness,” Gazanfaroglu said. According to the politician, Iran thus makes Azerbaijan take counter measures. “As a result, Iran risks to lose partners and a good neighbor on behalf of Azerbaijan, with the latter being more convinced of duplicity on Iran’s part, supporting Armenia on the one hand and reproducing anti-Azerbaijan material on the other hand,” he stressed. According to Gazanfaroglu, official Tehran should be straightforward in its relations with Baku. “Iran supports Armenia in contrast to the Islamic world, thus demonstrating its double-faced policy. Such support towards Armenia seriously displeases Azerbaijan,” Chairman of Great establishment Party said.
