991mln cu m of natural gas imported to Armenia during 8 months of 2011

PanARMENIAN.Net - During January-August of 2011 volumes of supply of natural gas to Armenia grew by 7,3% compared to the same period in 2010 and totaled 991mln cubic meters.

During the reporting period, 903.9mln cubic meters of natural gas was consumed, which is 1,6% more than last year, ArmRosgazprom CJSC press service reported.

Compared to last year, consumption volume of natural gas by the population grew by 3,7%, totaling 332.7mln cubic meters. During the eight months of the current year volumes of consumption of gas decreased by 19,7% in the energy sector and by 11,6% in the industrial sector, compared to the same period in 2010, making 70,3 and 155,2mln cubic meters respectively.
